Ellie and Matt kicked off their destination wedding weekend with portraits before their Rehearsal Dinner in Alys Beach, where her family has a home. Right as we began shooting, a marine layer rolled in and in my head I was hearing Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic". I love the misty moodiness it gave their images. We roamed the pathway in front of the house where they laughed, sipped on champagne and walked hand-in-hand amidst the beautiful architecture that is Alys. Later we made our way to Fonville courtyard with its idyllic pink umbrellas. February is the best kept secret on 30A, especially for a wedding! The last two years I have photographed weddings on this same weekend with perfect 71 degree temps and sunshine.
